Book of the Wyld

This book was really interesting to read through. It gave a great depiction of what the Wyld is and is not, where it can be found and where it can't. The Wyld isn't the same as the wild. I think that needs to be said. The Wyld certainly has a place in the wild, but that's another story. This book covers Gorgon's, which are amazingly cool creatures. It tells you how to make them and what they are. It gives you two indestructible spirits, both of which are hilarious. The story-flow of the reading makes it far more interesting too. There are some gifts in there too. The detailed spirits are pretty good, bit I would have liked to see more. That was a huge challenge for me starting out as a storyteller. I didn't understand the Wyld. Fortunately, we have a couple of episodes now to h…

Gurahl

Wow. This book was amazing. It's still a little short in some information, like some rites and Gurahl community. I know, I know, what a paradoxical thing to start with. Well, for those of you that know me, I really like bears (They're my favorite animal). So you'll have to bear with me as we bear this burden.

The book described the four tribes, which are fairly detailed. They could have spread that out a bit more for the entire world. The way that the Gurahl perform their duties is interesting, as they want to heal the land. They've described working behind the Garou as something like cleaning up after ripping out the organs of the world. They don't like the methodology of the Garou but they're in no position to argue with small numbers. The rites and gifts are very cool, and the fact that one vs one…

W20

I guess we should probably cover this one. So for me, starting with this book was really helpful, especially since it was up to date. I didn't need any other books to start the game which was fantastic. It outlined the core concepts well and left the room, as they always do, for storyteller interpretation. Whether you're looking to jump into WtA 20 (Or a different version), as a player or storyteller, I think this book is a great idea. It's over 500 pages so it should cover most of the basics! I really appreciate the artwork in it as well.

Silver Fangs!

Greetings once more, friends! It's a dive into the Silver Fangs, Ghostpaw style.

So in looking at this book again for the second or third time, this book has a ton of information that makes Silver Fangs part of the Garou nation, rather than just a collective bunch of assholes. It gives fear insight on, of course, how they came to be and how they were chosen as the Alphas. It gives insight into the houses, camps, and lodges, which I found the houses and lodges to be really cool. Silver Fangs have a lot to offer. What was really fun with this book was that Jonas Albrecht was doing part of the narration for the book. It's as if he was a cub being taught throughout the book and I think that was really great way to present especially from a Silver Fangs viewpoint. It gave really good in…
