Gurahl
Wow. This book was amazing. It's still a little short in some information, like some rites and Gurahl community. I know, I know, what a paradoxical thing to start with. Well, for those of you that know me, I really like bears (They're my favorite animal). So you'll have to bear with me as we bear this burden.
The book described the four tribes, which are fairly detailed. They could have spread that out a bit more for the entire world. The way that the Gurahl perform their duties is interesting, as they want to heal the land. They've described working behind the Garou as something like cleaning up after ripping out the organs of the world. They don't like the methodology of the Garou but they're in no position to argue with small numbers. The rites and gifts are very cool, and the fact that one vs one they could put down a Garou no problem is pretty cool too. Oh, let's not forget the very start of the War of Rage, according to Gurahl, by bringing people back from the dead.
They aren't generally very good with the umbra, which makes sense as they are described with being tied to the land itself.
Honestly, they could have made a game out of this changing breed too, like they did with Werewolf. They certainly have the potential to be incredible characters, they just need your help!
There are also two of note that I can remember off the cuff that stand out. The first is king Arthur, effectively. I believe they call him Artoro instead. He and his knights sleep until the apocalypse where they will rise up and take up the battle once more. The second one, and perhaps more important, is The Ancient One. This Gurahl has been blessed with 10,000 years of life by Gaia herself. The caveat being that he or she shouldn't use it all at once. So the Ancient One checks in every decade or so, but plans to be there for the final battle too!
I certainly recommend getting this book. It's pretty well written and the 15 foot tall crinos Werebears are nothing to sneeze at.
