I changed the body of the text to up date it as a log of the game as it goes along.
The Story-- All lost cubs. Completely ignorant of their nature. They have been remanded to a specialized hospital for rare and dangerous diseases. Run by a private firm (DNA). The players are all legal minors and have been turned over to DNA by their legal guardians.
I will begin the game by having the players sit down with just a note pad and pen. They won't know what game they are playing right away. Telling them that their characters have been quarantined for a dangerous disease. (I I might try to throw them off the trail with small talk about zombie shows/movies and C19 news before the game) I will ask them to describe the characters physically to each other and write it down. They will then reveal/build character backgrounds during group therapy sessions with a psychologist.
I can use the information from therapy to create vivid dreams to build mystery and story. Example "Marcus" will most likely play someone confrontational or ,difficult for the sake of being difficult, so might lean toward a Get of Fenris. His First dream he could wake up bruised but strangely content about it. With no memory how. Second Dream He could actually remember fighting something just not sure what and so on. Some one leaning toward a Wendigo could wake up naked cold and wet with a hand full of slush in his bed. with no idea or logical way how. I may head to the forums or discord in the future for ideas for way to link them to other Tribes or Auspices. Eventually the dreams would start to effect the waking world.
Now as for the Hospital. The orderlies would be some kind of hive minded Drones all named some iteration of John (Jon,Joan,Jonathan,Johan,Jonas,Joanna, Juan, Jan, Ian, Ivan, Gianna) I was think that they psychologist would be a recessive carrier (kinfolk) of the disease, and would actually care for the welfare of the players tho from a very clinical scientific view point (this is for your own good!)
The Characters
Ian Mctavish-15 Y.O. 5'9" 125lb. Father was a Scotch Immigrant mother was a Virginian Native. Mother died in child birth. Father has been in prison for the last 8 years. Lived with his maternal aunt since his father has been in prison. His aunt is absent most of the time spending most of the time. preferring to spend her time with her rotating round of boyfriends. Ian likes to spend his times outdoors and has learned to manipulate people similar to his aunt.
Marcus Overt- 16Y.O. 6' 185lb. Of Germanic/mix decent. Crew cut hair Pierced eyebrow. Parents killed in a violent car crash. Raised by his grand parents with his little brother. On a farm in south jersey. Spent most of his time working on the farm. Looking after his little brother. Enjoys learning about sciences specially (biology). Has nightmares of being in the accident with his parents. Chickens on the farm hate and attack him when he is near.
Uwe Grolsch- 14Y.O. 5' 2" 106lb, Long Blond Hair, German immigrant. An only child he became sickly at 10 years old. His parents sent him to America to live with his aunt and uncle to get better medical treatment. His father was is a brew master in Germany. His Aunt and uncle have a vineyard in upstate NY. He is very conscious of what he eats puts in his body. Preferring natural organic foods. Want's to take over the family business.




Sorry I'm so behind, life can suck. but here is the end of our heroes' first story. (mouse spirit is a Grass Hopper Mouse spirit but i shortened it to just mouse.)
With the sound of police sirens approaching. The fledgling pack follows Larissa across the fallow fields abandoning the Minivan. After about an hour of difficult travel. Larissa tells them to stay put while gets her bearings and scouts ahead.
Uwe gets bored pretty quickly and starts to look around. He hears a tiny howl and sees a small mouse fighting a scorpion. The scorpion stings the mouse, the mouse jumps back and sits still. A snake rises out of the dirt and wraps it's self around the mouse, squeezing it as it's bites at the scorpion. It' kills the scorpion but it keeps squeezing the mouse till it pops and bursts into 3 smaller snakes. All 4 snakes then leave the area. Uwe follows them into a cave. As he descends into the winding cave. A small mouse leap out and bite his foot pulling away toward the entrance. Uwe ignore it, continuing down the cave. The mouse howls bites down harder and pulls more. Eventually Uwe relents and turns around. The mouse hops on him for a ride.
Uwe returns to find his pack and Larissa looking for him. Larissa is angry that he wandered off into the umbra. She smells something different about him. He tries to show her the mouse spirit but it is hiding. Sensing that Larissa is Wyrm tainted. not wanting to waste anymore time Larissa leads the pack to The Heralds prison. A Superfund site just outside of Lincoln Nebraska.
As they approach the fence the mouse spirit begins to pull on and bite Uwe. Refusing to enter the site. Uwe leaves it behind and climbs the fence with the rest of the pack. Larissa explains that they have to break the retaining wall on the retention pond and blow the wells with the explosives. While she weakens the bonds in the Umbra.
